2. Personal data we collect

We collect personal data that you provide directly, data generated when you use app features, and limited technical data needed to run the service.

  • Account data, such as your name, email address, profile photo, authentication identifiers, and support messages.
  • Baby profile data, such as baby name, date of birth, photo, gender, diet preference, baby mode, cuisine, location, allergies, and age-stage related settings.
  • Nutrition and planning records, such as meal plans, feeding logs, food exposure history, reaction notes, bookmarked recipes, and weekly nutrition summaries.
  • Notification and device data, such as push token, platform, time zone, quiet hours, and reminder preferences.
  • Support data, such as messages you send us and any screenshots or attachments you choose to share.

Some entries, including allergy and reaction logs, can be more sensitive in nature and should only be added by a parent or lawful guardian.

3. How we use personal data

We use personal data to provide and improve the app, personalize your experience, support your account, and keep the service safe and reliable.

  • To create and manage user accounts and baby profiles.
  • To generate age-appropriate guidance, planner suggestions, allergen introduction flows, and food-related recommendations.
  • To store feeding history, progress, bookmarks, and other continuity features across sessions.
  • To send reminders, nudges, and product notices based on your settings.
  • To respond to support requests, investigate misuse, fix issues, and maintain security.

4. Child and baby data

TummyJr is intended to be used by parents and lawful guardians. If you add a baby profile, you confirm that you are authorized to provide and manage that child-related information. Please only add information reasonably needed for feeding planning, tracking, and care coordination.

  • You can review and update profile details from the app’s Profile area.
  • You can delete a baby profile if you no longer want that record used in planning and tracking.
  • If you believe child-related information has been added without proper authority, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

5. Legal basis, consent, and personalization

We process personal data for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy based on your use of the service, your choices inside the app, and any consent you provide where required. Recommendations shown in TummyJr may change based on baby age, allergies, cuisine preferences, location, and selected baby mode, including Home, Travel, and Sick modes.

  • By creating an account, adding a baby profile, or enabling optional features, you ask us to process data needed to provide those features.
  • You can manage many settings directly in the app, including optional notifications.
  • Where consent is the basis for processing, you may withdraw it, subject to any lawful retention or processing that must continue under applicable requirements.

6. Notifications and reminders

TummyJr may use local or remote notifications to provide meal reminders, allergen-related reminders, age unlock tips, quiet-hours-aware nudges, and similar notices. Users can usually control notification permissions in their device settings and, where available, inside the app. Safety-related reminders may remain active during an ongoing allergen introduction.

7. Sharing, service providers, and storage

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers and partners that help us operate the app, subject to appropriate controls. We use infrastructure needed to authenticate users, store app content, deliver notifications, and operate the service securely, including Firebase services used by the app.

  • Data may be processed through cloud infrastructure and service providers located in India or outside India.
  • We may disclose data where required by law, legal process, or to protect users, rights, or the security of the service.
  • In business transfers or restructurings, data may be transferred as part of the transaction subject to applicable law.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

  • Active account and baby profile data are retained while your account remains in use.
  • Deleting a baby profile removes it from your active experience, though some records may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or security records.
  • You can initiate verified account deletion through our public page at tummyjr.com/account-deletion.
  • We may retain limited information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, detect abuse, or enforce our terms.

9. Security and incident handling

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure. Access is limited to what is reasonably needed to operate, support, and secure the service. No system is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Where applicable, security incidents may also be reported to relevant Indian authorities, including CERT-In, within timelines required by law.

10. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, including Indian privacy obligations and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion of data, withdrawal of consent where relevant, or help with grievances.

  • You can update many account, baby profile, and notification settings directly in the app.
  • You may ask us to review correction or deletion requests sent through our support contact.
  • We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.
